For some reason I had the same problem. My keyboard was working and at some point this setting has changed and keyboard in simulator stopped working. This is the answer that sovled my problem in XCode 8.3 – sonar0007 Oct 1 '17 at 20:13. Select the iOS simulator window by click it. Click the simulator menu Hardware — Keyboard, check the Connect Hardware Keyboard sub menu and then uncheck it at once. Now the keyboard will be prompted automatically when you click the text field or text view ui component in simulator.

List empty of devices simulator with Xcode 10 #234. Closed. @bbb81. Copy link Deploying to iPhone-XR, 12.2 simulator Error: spawn Delphi Rio 10.3.3 still does not appear to support using iOS Simulator 11 and later. Some time ago, I came across a post by Jim McKeeth that support for later iOS Simulators was planned for version 10.4. This is not good: I cannot make a reasonable-sounding argument to stick with Delphi when iOS development using Xcode and Swift is so easy.

Running sudo killall -9 com.apple.CoreSimulator.CoreSimulatorService from terminal solved my problem.

This will build the Xcode project and generate the build. If the application is developed in a workspace (if the project directory has a .xcworkspace In Xcode 10 I would just launch the simulator and select 'Hardware -> External Display -> CarPlay', which would launch the CarPlay Simulator showing the CarPlay Menu. However in Xcode 11 the CarPlay Display remains dark. I have tried resetting the simulator several times and also tried various device models.

I had the same issue, all i did is

Looks like the different Xcode's have varying ideas about when to install new devices and just go for safe. If you install a lot of new beta's, this >This iPhone 6 is running iOS 10.1 (14B55c), which may not be supported by this version of Xcode. Yep, that's the issue, but I'm surprised Xcode 8.x hasn't offered to collect symbols so it can use the device. Might try connecting the 10.1 device directly to the computer, not thru a hub or drive, etc. Run Xcode and see if it picks it up. What is a vu meter.

Xcode 10.3 (10G8) (App Store) When using the newly reinstalled Xcode 10.2.1 . the Simulators are are Restart computer fix this problem + 10086. last day of our sprint and had tons of stuff to do, and this update (which happened overnight) and reporteded the bug but i cant see anything i worked on in my storyboard. I'm having the same problem since upgrading to macOS Sierra and XCode 8.1. The Simulator starts the program, but Safari's Develop menu doesn't show the Simulator device. Web Inspector is turned on in Settings->Safari->Advanced on the simulated device, but that doesn't help. I tried reseting everything, and still no luck.
